Barbour x Levi’sA British take on Americana

Zendaya and Tom Holland, Olivia Rodrigo and Louis Partridge, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry… British boyfriends are all the rage. So it was only a matter of time for American icon Levi’s and British royalty Barbour to get together — and we’re seeing sparks fly.

The two brands are the perfect match, marrying their own staples and turning them into gorgeous children. Barbour’s wax jackets arrive cut like Levi’s trucker essentials, while quintessentially American jeans leave the wild plains behind for the Cotswolds, corduroy taking over. Just what you need for long autumn walks, this collection is guaranteed to keep you warm and dry, and extremely stylish.

Barbour started waxing their jackets with oilskin in the nineteenth century, for the fishermen and hunters having to deal with the difficult English weather on a daily basis. But since the ’70s, Barbour jackets have become an effortlessly chic yet practical staple (hi Lady D, we miss you, thanks for the inspo <3). Seen here, the classic Spey and Bedale waxed jackets received the Levi’s treatment with pleats to the front. The quaint little detail we needed? Their detachable hoods to face the ever-changing English weather.

The most iconic item in the Levi's archive? The five pocket jean! Beloved by cowboys and superstars alike, the brand’s comfortable, loose fit 578 jeans now come in Barbour’s corduroy, and in a rosin colour giving us Pride & Prejudice dawn scene flashbacks (what’s more English than that?). But if you prefer denim, the straight fit 568 jeans come in a vintage mid-wash effect.

The Barbour x Levi’s collection also offers graphic tees and hoodies, in a seasonal yet timeless colour palette, with English-countryside tans and greens. Complete the look with one of the two waxed caps, available in olive green and navy blue. And yes, they also come with a tartan lining. Don’t know about you, but just looking at the collection makes us crave a getaway in a wee cottage in the middle of nowhere, sitting by the fireside with a pile of books to get lost in.
