Day dresses come in solid colours or muted patterns – there's nothing too brash about this all-British brand, founded in 1969 in Taunton. Have a look at a regular-fit, extra-short dress with long sleeves and a crew neck, with a skirt that has a gentle flare, patterned with small black and white polka dots.

New Look shoes are as fresh and imaginative as its clothing. There are dozens of open-toed sandals, with various strap configurations. They're suitable for casual daytime get-togethers or evening cocktail parties.
You can have higher heels if you like. We offer them in elegant imitation suede, with block heels and ankle straps. Or have yours in shiny faux leather, with discreet back heel zip fastenings.
